about the piece.
I sat and sketched her cemetery one day when I went to visit and refresh her flowers. I hated that this was it. That we had a room for her and a safe, loving environment with us back home. But this is was where we had to leave her. -Rachel

So, so sad. "A nursery unlike any other". Your work is always amazing, Rachel.
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling all too well.... The horror that swirls around in my mind with the realization time and time again that my baby is there. In a cemetary.
ReplyDeleteBig love to you Rachel x
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful and so sad. So very sad. Your sketch expresses that horror and sadness so very eloquently.
ReplyDeleteHeartbreaking. The children's section at our cemetery was full, so we couldn't bury Hope there. That was like insult to injury, to think of all those dead children who had gone before my own.
