Alone, Krista

Alone.

about this piece.
I drew this one day when my children were playing happily with my husband watching them and watching me sit and not even be able to smile because of the pain. I really felt like there was a wall separating me from my family. - Krista

about the artist.
Krista is a 27 years old woman who has had three healthy, full term pregnancies followed by three miscarriages. First at 12wks (blighted ovum), second at 16wks4ds (Benjamin), and the most recent at 21wks (Kadence).

I also had a chemical pregnancy the first cycle after my first loss and the first cycle after my last loss, both were devastating. Since my last loss I have been using art as a way of getting my grief out and have really appreciated this site and seeing other women's work. - Krista

  1. That wall can be so powerful and isolating, even if invisible to everyone else but us. ((((hugs))))

  2. I really recognise this feeling; it is just exactly how it is.
