Sky's Box, Skytimes

Sky's Box.
Skytimes.
Rubber, Wood, Acrylic paint.

:::

about the piece.
Sky's Box was completed right after Skytime's son Sky died. Though she started it during pregnancy, she quickly neglected it, because, in her words, "I simply couldn't (and didn't want to) see anything pretty." Weeks of work and 10,000 tears were shed making this mosaic box.

The materials used are:

- wooden wine-box.
- sample book by a producer of rubber floorings
- acrylic paint
- grey grout
